Selma came across my work via The West Mill‘s blog and after telling me about her plans, I was very grateful she did.
They had a multi cultural Icelandic/Irish/Nigeria wedding and the details were amazing.
Every time I shoot a wedding at The West Mill, which is a Derbyshire wedding venue, I feel spoilt. The venue is designed so your wedding naturally flows throughout it. One floor is your ceremony, another your wedding breakfast and a different one to dance the night away in.
I always say how relaxed my couples are but Selma and Sadiq took that to another level. When I came to get them for their couple shots, they decided against having them! To say that made me a little nervous is understatement! I’ve never had a couple not have any couples portraits but I must admit, when bringing all their photos together, it was so beautiful, I actually didn’t notice!
The venue was styled by the amazing Princess Occasions. It was the first time I had worked alongside them and hopefully not the last.
One thing very important to Selma and Sadiq was the evening do and the dancing. I absolutely loved watching and capturing this and couldn’t help but keep taking pictures.
I hope you love looking over their images as much as I loved being there and taking them.
