Rhianna and Mike are two of the nicest, most genuine people I have had the pleasure of meeting. Once they started telling me about their plans, I could see it was them!
They picked this wonderful venue called Newlands Bishop Farm. This venue is a working farm but holds weddings on weekends. To help at these weddings, they employ adults with learning disabilities, mental health problems and brain injuries. All the income generated from weddings goes directly to the development of Newlands Bishop Farm. It’s a wonderful place!
The atmosphere on the day was amazing. I hope you can see by the pictures how happy and relaxed everyone was.
At this time of year, there have been some wonderful engagements and some very excited couples are going to be searching for their perfect venue.
I have been to some amazing venues so I’m going to be blogging about venues I would recommend and include some information about them. First up is Alcott Weddings.
The first time I visited Alcott Weddings was to have a cuppa with Lucy. Lucy runs Alcott Weddings and you can see how much this venue means to her within 5 minutes of being in her company.
I didn’t go armed with my camera this time so the photos included are off my trusted iPhone but it gives you an idea of what this beautiful place is like.
One thing I am very blessed with is referrals from other couples and this is how Holly and Ben found me. One thing which is very common amongst my couples, is feeling nervous in front of the camera so opting for a pre-wedding shoot is a good idea.
For Holly and Ben’s, we travelled to a favourite spot of theirs and somewhere I had never been before, May Hill in Gloucestershire. After crawling enjoying the walk to the top, I had the pleasure of experiencing why it was their favourite.
The views were amazing! Definitely a place you could visit just to be able to get away.
I am very fortunate that I get to meet most of my couples now through word of mouth and Steph and Harry were no exception. Steph’s Sister is the amazing Laura from Pumpkin Events and on a styled shoot we were both involved in, we got talking.
Steph and Harry got married in Brighton Bandstand! I’d never captured a ceremony here before so I was really excited! It didn’t disappoint and I think I witnessed every emotion going! It was very special.
The best part is when my couples suggest amazing places we can go for their couple shots and really appreciate this time of the day. Carousel anyone?
I’m not even going to apologise for the amount of photos in this post, I couldn’t get it down anymore and you will see why! The evening party raised the roof at The Proud Cabaret!
Hope you enjoy…
Jennie and Matt are getting married next month but just like many of my couples, they were a bit nervous about having their photo taken.
I HATE having my picture taken, so can completely relate to these feelings and this also helps me put my couples at ease I would hope.
After thinking for a while about where we could go for the shoot, The Hundred House in Telford was mentioned. I had never been there before but had heard about the wonderful gardens they had there and it didn’t disappoint.
If you want somewhere to go with your family for a drink, the pub itself is lovely and quirky. I also saw they held weddings there! Seriously check it out but in the mean time, here is a taster to their gardens.
As soon as I saw Annabel on the day of the wedding, it was like a friend was beaming back at me. We had met before, on Bruce and Annabel’s pre-wedding shoot, so I already knew that the wedding day was going to be a relaxed affair and it didn’t disappoint.
I walked into All Saints Church in Sheepy Magna and my breath was taken away. 1000 paper cranes looked so pretty hanging there and when I found out they were made by the Church community, after a comment Annabel made about loving them, it made them even more special.
The day was filled with tears, laughter and love. Mythe Barn looked amazing decorated in Bruce and Annabel’s vision and after everyone enjoyed the amazing food by Galloping Gourmet, an outfit change was needed.
I’ll keep that as a surprise for when you reach the end of the images. I hope you enjoy watching how the day unfolded….. …Read more
