Nearly two years ago I received an email from Dave asking for my package prices and if we could meet. When I arrived at the meeting, Jenny was there and I think Dave was. I say think because Jenny and I wouldn’t shut up. Dave could only look on.

This was how it went for the whole planning stage of their wedding. Jenny and I would plan a get together, say we would talk about wedding plans, spend 5 minutes on that subject and move on to more important things. Food mainly.

To the horror of Dave, I would show Jenny shops that she could buy little bits and pieces from and we would then think of reasons to tell Dave about how these were very needed.

Then came the wedding day itself. I was now watching a very good friend have her make up done, get into her dream dress and then walk down the aisle to her soulmate.

Then came the first dance! I watched a couple so in love, hold each other to their favourite song and dance their first dance as Man and Wife and I cried. Thank goodness my camera was in front of my face and I couldn’t stop.

It was a truly amazing day and one I am very sad to see in my past but also one I’m very excited to see, be the start of something magical.

Cassie and Aston had been through a few ups and downs during their wedding planning but everything seemed to happen for a reason. One of these downs was having to change venues three months before the wedding. This would throw most people into a blind panic but not these Guys. In fact, it couldn’t have worked out better.

I always loved receiving Cassie emails, telling me about the pompom journey, planning a boudoir shoot as a present for Aston on the morning of the wedding, um, OK there wasn’t many planning emails past that as we just talked about random stuff but hey, it would just get boring if we did right?

Then the day came and it snowed. When I say snowed, I mean this stuff just kept coming! I couldn’t help but think about guests who might not be able to get there but I shouldn’t have worried. Those Guys would not miss a party!!

One thing it did cause a problem for though is going outside for couple shots. Everything had to happen indoors because the winds were so strong! Certainly made me think on my feet but we had so much fun.

This wedding was just over two weeks ago and I am blogging it so soon because I received the most wonderful email off the couple today and I’ve had permission to share it with you. Firstly, pictures……..

We received our wedding photos today, with great surprise that they were ready a little over 2 weeks since our big day.

I just wanted to take a minute to email you with uber thanks for all you have done for us. The lead up to the wedding with you as our photographer has been really beyond anything we ever expected. It has been a personal and wonderful experience, not only did we book the best wedding photographer for us but we also gained a friend. You are so down to earth, a pleasure to be around and a great business woman with a fascinating talent for photography all around. We have had great fun with you, and Aston still thanks you for his present. And I thank you so much for that opportunity too. Again, you rock!

Charlotte and Alex are the type of people you help but like. A Genuinely nice couple who make you smile and are so fun to be around. So, as you can imagine, I couldn’t wait for their wedding!

It was held at Warwick House near Stratford-upon-Avon and they didn’t fail to disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn’t do enough to help.

The bridal preparations were wonderful, all the Girls in conjoining rooms, laughing, getting ready, drinking a lot and swapping gifts. Nerves were slowly creeping in as Charlotte was helped into her dress.

And then the walk with her Dad to her future Husband arrived.

I hope the images will tell the story from here but thank you Charlotte and Alex for allowing me to capture this beautiful day. I couldn’t narrow the image selection down any more haha.

To say I am over the moon is an understatement. Of course, this wouldn’t happen if I didn’t have amazing couples book me in the first place and I wanted to thank Diana and Omar for such an amazing day!

When an enquiry comes through for Mythe Barn Wedding Venue I get excited. I love this venue and the staff there are so friendly and helpful.

It didn’t stop at Mythe Barn though. Carli happens to mention that she’s wearing Jenny Packham and Jimmy Choo’s.

Surely someone special is going to be dressing this venue too? Hell yea! Passion for flowers were there to transform the reception room. The day couldn’t come around fast enough for me!

When I arrived the Girls were having their hair done and the nerves were starting to show. The champagne helped quite a bit and before we knew it, it was present time. As Carli opened the present Ben had left, she started laughing. “It’s a Gucci watch” she giggles. At first I didn’t understand what was funny until Carli says “I have bought Ben the exact same thing!!”

These two were meant to be.

There were tears (from Ben ) and a lot of laughter. Thank you Carli and Ben for allowing me to be a part of your day x

Christmas is over and I’m sure many of you have had much to celebrate. I’m guessing that some of you lovely people would have got engaged over the holiday season too and as I love an engagement I’ve decided that Daffodil Waves will give away a FREE engagement shoot .

Before I was a full time Wedding Photographer I had a real job . It was here that I was fortunate enough to meet Katie. We got to see each other a couple of times but mostly spoke on the phone due to us being Managers of different stores.

I then left my full time job to become a full time Photographer and I received an email. The email was off Katie and she was getting married and wanted ME to capture her wedding for her.

As I read more and more emails off Katie, I got more excited. I didn’t realise how similar we were.

The day itself was full of laughs and we felt so comfortable in each others company. I was shooting my friends wedding. It was such a privilege.
