Engagement Shoot At Bradgate Park – Jenny and Dave

One thing I love to receive are ‘Jenny emails’. We could potentially send them all day. If we are not doing that then we are pinning our favourite pictures as we have a passion for Pinterest.

The next thing for them to plan was their Engagement shoot and they wanted one very important person involved, their ~~crazy~~ lovely dog Humphrey.

We headed to the gorgeous Bradgate park, as Humphrey would be in his element here while we took in the beautiful scenery and started shooting the moment.

Firstly though, we had to do a bit of walking. I’m very glad I didn’t do my hair that day that’s for sure. After the burning had stopping in my chest we found some beautiful spots to get down to work.

The Belvedere, Richmond Park Wedding – Maike and Adam

When I arrived at Maike and Adam’s house, Maike and her best friend were eating a lovely breakfast and looking very relaxed. Little did I know that Maike would be this chilled out for the whole day which put me to shame when I think back to mine.

The Belvedere, Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park was a gorgeous venue with stunning grounds to walk around. Everything had been given so much thought and everything just came together beautifully.

The fantastic thing about being a wedding photographer is you make some amazing friends. Maike is one of these people I can call my friend, often sending silly texts to one another. She’s just as beautiful inside as she is out!

Bedford Wedding – Kate and Ian

Katie and I headed to Bedford for the wedding of Kate and Ian. I had never met Kate, just chatted to her via email and was looking forward to seeing her. I was not disappointed. We instantly felt comfortable around each other and the bridal preps were full of laughs.

One of the sweetest moments I had ever experienced since shooting weddings happened on this day. Whilst Kate was getting ready her young Son knocked on the door. Kate answered, he took one look at her and said “you look beautiful”.

I loved every moment and it helped that the Groom’s side were Welsh . Hello Uncle Bryn <waves>.

Daffodil Waves Photography’s New Packaging

For a little while now I have been planning my new packaging and it has finally arrived. In future all my couples will receive their images on a branded USB!! Whether it’s an engagement shoot or a wedding, I will now be sending you this fab little stick containing your images rather than a disk.

Vintage Chic Wedding Fair

I know from personal experience that brides are often looking for inspiration for their wedding day. One of the best places to find great ideas and quality suppliers is wedding fayres.

Last October I was lucky enough to be offered an opportunity to exhibit at the Vintage Chic Wedding Fair at the Custard Factory in Birmingham and I had a thoroughly great time and met lots of new people. As it is bigger and better this year, this one will now be held at the The Centennial Centre, Birmingham.

So this year I jumped at the chance to be part of the fun again. The fair is taking place on Sunday 22nd April 2012, so if you are looking for the perfect wedding photographer, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, maybe a stunning wedding dress or even just looking for some more ideas, why not come along?

Pre Wedding Shoot Sneak Peek at Bradgate Park – Jenny and Dave

Jenny and I hit it off from the minute we met and Dave’s not too bad either , so when we put a date in the diary for the pre-wedding shoot I was very excited. The lovely thing is there was going to be someone else included in this shoot too, their gorgeous dog Humphrey.

Chris Hoy wins Gold

A few of the reasons I love wedding photography is you get to go to wonderful places and meet amazing people. Last year I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding in Scotland and I met the lovely Chris Hoy.

Yesterday Chris Hoy won Keirin Gold at the track cycling World Championships in Melbourne. Well done Chris!!! We’ll be cheering you on in the 2012 Olympics.
