Several of my brides mention that they are gathering ideas and inspiration off the internet and saving them in a file where they can look back on them. This especially helps if you are a DIY bride and plan to do most of the table decorations etc yourself.
Pinterest is a brilliant resource to use if you are one of these brides/grooms. It is so simple and easy to use (well, I am using it so it must be) and a great way to categorise what you are saving.
The first thing you need to do is request an invite. If you do this straight away then that part is out of the way (it can take several days to be accepted) and you can get on with looking at all the inspiration on there that other people have saved.
Once you are accepted, you can download your pin. This is a little button that goes into your bookmarks tool bar. Here is the clever part!! You can go onto websites and wedding blogs as normal and when you see a picture of something that inspires you or something you just love then you click your ‘pin it’ button in your toolbar and then click the picture you want to save.
It will ask you what board you want this pin to be saved in, so if it is a gorgeous wedding dress, then name the board ‘Wedding dresses’ (you only ever need to do this once) to make it easier to find when you are specifically looking for your wedding dress. When you come across anymore wedding dresses you like then you can pin them and put them straight into the same board
It really is that simple and you can pin until your heart is content. So much easier than the file > save > name picture > where would you like to save it option. Just click PIN IT!!
I hope this has been of some use and if you would like to see things that I love then visit my boards here
