
When I met Kari and Rob, they described their wedding to me as a Humanist ceremony with a Tipi reception in Rob’s Parents back garden. Now, this was very true but there was a little bit more to it than that.
We pulled up onto the drive of this gorgeous property and the first thing we see is the Tipi. When we entered, we were hit with all these details that Kari and Rob had been planning over the last months. Even down to the salt and pepper shakers on the table, each table having something different. To look at it all you would have thought this had taken years to plan.
One reason I like to meet my Couples before the big day is so when you see each other on the day, it’s not as if it’s the first time you’ve met, you already feel relaxed around each other. When I walked into the house Kari was getting ready in, I was treated as part of her Family and had a big hug from Kari, who I might add was looking extremely calm!
After having a cup of tea with Mum and Dad we got to it and before we knew it, we were walking up to the ceremony……
